Transportation Types

98,000+ train stations worldwide. Perfect for intercity travel across Europe, Japan, and beyond.

Adding Transportation to Your Trip

Search

Ask the AI to find stations or routes. For route searches, it shows origin and destination options separately.

Select Stations

Choose your departure and arrival stations from the results.

Set Times

Provide departure date, time, and optionally the arrival time.

Confirm

Review the confirmation with both stations, times, and duration. Confirm to add.

What Appears on Your Timeline

Transportation events show:

  • Origin station — Name, city, and photo
  • Destination station — Name, city, and photo
  • Departure time — With timezone
  • Arrival time — With timezone
  • Travel duration
  • Transport type badge — Train, Subway, Ferry, etc.

Transportation events create two markers on your timeline — one for departure and one for arrival — connected by a travel line.

Default Travel Durations

If you don't specify an arrival time, dani.go estimates based on the transport type:

Train 2 hours
Subway 30 minutes
Ferry 1 hour
Cruise 24 hours
Bus 1 hour

You can always edit the duration after adding the event.

Tips

Use route search for trains

Instead of searching for stations separately, say "find trains from Tokyo to Kyoto" and the AI will show you both origin and destination station options together.

The AI connects the dots

If you already have a hotel in Kyoto, saying "how do I get there from Tokyo?" will prompt the AI to search for train routes between the two cities.

Timezone awareness

When traveling across timezones (e.g., a ferry between countries), dani.go automatically handles the timezone conversion for departure and arrival times.
