Adding a Restaurant to Your Trip

1

Search

Ask the AI to find restaurants — it shows results as interactive buttons.

2

Select

Tap a restaurant to choose it.

3

Set Details

The AI asks for the date and time. It uses your trip context to suggest appropriate days.

4

Confirm

Review the confirmation and say "yes" to add it to your timeline.

What Appears on Your Timeline

A restaurant event (labeled "Dining" on the timeline) shows:

  • Restaurant name — With translated name if applicable
  • Photo carousel — Swipe through multiple restaurant photos
  • Date and meal time
  • Address — Tap to open in maps
  • Rating — Stars and review count
  • Cuisine type
  • Business hours — So you know when they're open
  • Phone — Tap to call for reservations
  • Website — Link to the restaurant's site

Non-Latin Restaurant Names

When traveling in countries with non-Latin scripts (Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, etc.), restaurant names are displayed with:

  • The English translation as the primary name
  • The original script preserved for reference

This makes it easy to find the restaurant while also having the name in the local language for showing to taxi drivers or looking at street signs.

Tips

Specify meal times

Say "find a restaurant for dinner on March 16" to help the AI understand the context. This also sets the correct time on your timeline.

Ask for recommendations

The AI can suggest restaurants based on your preferences: "What's a must-try restaurant in Tokyo?" or "Where do locals eat in Barcelona?"
