Trip Timeline¶

The Timeline is the visual centerpiece of your trip — a chronological view of every flight, hotel, restaurant, activity, and transportation event in your itinerary.

Timeline Overview¶

Your timeline displays events in chronological order, organized by day. Each event appears as a rich card showing all relevant information at a glance.

What Each Card Shows¶

Every timeline card includes:

• Event type icon — Color-coded by category (flight, hotel, dining, etc.)
• Place name — With translated name if the original is in a non-Latin script
• Photo carousel — Swipe through multiple photos of the place
• Date and time — With timezone information
• Address — Tap to open in maps
• Duration — Travel time for transportation, length of stay for accommodations
• Ratings — Star ratings and review counts when available
• Business hours — Operating hours for restaurants and attractions
• Contact info — Phone number and website links
• Category badge — Event type label (Dining, Sightseeing, Flight, etc.)

Event Types¶

The timeline supports all of these event types:

Flights¶

• Departure and arrival airports with IATA codes
• Departure and arrival times with timezones
• Airline information
• Flight duration
• Photos of both airports

Accommodations¶

• Check-in and check-out dates and times
• Default check-in at 3:00 PM, check-out at 11:00 AM
• Hotel photos and ratings
• Address with map link

Restaurants & Dining¶

• Cuisine type
• Ratings and reviews
• Business hours
• Phone and website
• Photo carousel

Activities & Attractions¶

Activities are organized into four sub-categories:

Train, Subway, Ferry, Bus, Cruise¶

• Departure and arrival stations/terminals
• Departure and arrival times
• Photos of stations
• Travel duration

:car: Car Rentals¶

• Rental start and end dates and times
• Pickup and return locations

Live Events¶

• Event name and venue
• Date and time
• Ticket information

Working with Your Timeline¶

Edit an Event¶

Tap on any timeline card to expand it, then use the edit option to modify:

• Date and time
• Duration
• Notes
• Location details

Delete an Event¶

Swipe left on a timeline card (or use the delete button on hover) to remove an event. You'll be asked to confirm before deletion.

Reorder Events¶

Events are automatically sorted by date and time. To change when something happens, edit the event's date/time.

Photo Carousel¶

Many events show a photo carousel — swipe left and right to browse through multiple photos of the place. These photos are sourced from the place's database entry and cached for fast loading.

Day-by-Day Organization¶

The timeline automatically groups events by day:

• Day headers show the date and day of the trip (e.g., "Day 1 — March 15, 2026")
• Events within each day are sorted by time
• Transportation events show travel connections between locations

Timeline Badges¶

Each event has a colored badge indicating its type:

Confirmation Glow¶

When you add a new event through the AI chat, the newly created timeline card briefly glows to draw your attention to it. The timeline also auto-scrolls to the new event so you can see it immediately.
