Journal & Memories¶
The Journal feature lets you capture your travel memories as they happen — write about your experiences, attach photos, and link entries to specific events on your timeline.
Creating a Journal Entry¶
- Open the Journal tab on your trip details screen
- Tap Add Entry
- Fill in the entry details:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | A name for this memory (e.g., "Amazing sunset at the temple") |
| Date | Which day of your trip this entry is for |
| Content | Your notes, thoughts, and experiences — write as much as you'd like |
| Cover Photo | Select a photo to represent this entry |
| Linked Event | Optionally connect this entry to a timeline event |
Linking to Timeline Events¶
One of the Journal's most powerful features is event linking. When you link a journal entry to a timeline event (like a restaurant dinner or a museum visit), the entry displays the full event card — complete with photos, ratings, and details — right inside your journal.
This creates a rich travel diary that combines your personal memories with the factual details of each stop.
Example
Link a journal entry titled "Best ramen of my life" to the restaurant event on your timeline. The journal entry will show your written memories alongside the restaurant's photos, address, and rating.
Photos¶
Adding Photos¶
- Tap the photo icon to add images to your entry
- Select from your device's photo library
- Multiple photos can be added to a single entry
Cover Photo¶
Each journal entry can have a cover photo — the main image that represents the memory. The cover photo appears as the entry's thumbnail in the journal list view.
- The first photo added becomes the cover by default
- You can change the cover photo at any time
- The cover photo is excluded from the entry's photo gallery to avoid duplication
Browsing Your Journal¶
Journal entries are organized by trip day:
- Each day shows a number (Day 1, Day 2, etc.) alongside the date
- Entries within a day are listed chronologically
- Tap any entry to read the full content with photos
Editing and Deleting¶
- Tap an entry to view it, then use the edit button to modify any field
- Use the delete option to remove an entry (with confirmation)
Tips¶
Write as you go
The best travel journals are written in the moment. Add a quick entry at the end of each day while memories are fresh.
Use event linking
Linking entries to timeline events creates a much richer memory — you get your personal story alongside photos, ratings, and details you might forget later.
Capture the small moments
Not every entry needs to be about a major attraction. Some of the best memories are the unexpected ones — a friendly conversation, a hidden alley, a perfect cup of coffee.
